David Warren Mainstreet Capitol Partners
Such a great session with David touring some of the properties he has devolped in the valley. David is know for his artistic guidance in commercial real estate, blend function and aesthetics to properties like the Provision building and the Anchor Centre. He wanted branding portraits that highlighted the important difference he makes on the plans he is a part of. He is personable, authentic, warm, and friendly- and he wanted photos that reflected those qualities!
And frankly, after 35 years and over one billion dollars, David is a pretty big deal in Phoenix!
What is the difference between branding portraits and headshots?
Both portrait types are professional, however, their purposes can be very different.
Modern Headshots focus on creating a consistent, keep it simple, polished identity, are typically head and shoulder only, or zoomed into the face. They are usually uniform in that head size, background, etc is consistent especially for business’ with multiple employees, and can be more formal in lighting patterns used when taking the photos. Modern headshots are typically head-and-shoulders portraits that are shot against a white, gray, or black background with professional hi key lighting. These are minimalist headshots - a good choice for people who want a professional and polished look with high key lighting is a style of lighting that uses a lot of light to create a bright, airy, and positive mood. It is often used in beauty portraits because it flatters the subject's features.

These headshots are shot in natural settings, such as parks, gardens, or cityscapes. Environmental portraits can help to show off a person's personality and style, and they can also help to create a sense of authenticity. They typically include full-body shots, environmental portraits, and lifestyle portraits. They're designed to capture the essence of the entrepreneur's personality and brand. Branding portraits are used to help people create a strong online presence and to make a positive first impression. They can be used on websites, social media, business presentations, and even print advertising and can be referred to as content portraits.
